Description

Harbins Park is located in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and it is a very popular park in the area among locals and visitors alike due to its many great features — it has an off-leash dog park, playgrounds, and more. However, many people and their dogs choose to visit Harbins Park to take advantage of its nearly thirty-mile trail system, which includes equestrian and mixed-use trails. This is no surprise, given the beautiful scenery of the park and the diverse array of trails available.

The park’s woodland environment has all kinds of flora; you can find mountain laurel, red buckeye, and American holly beneath the majestic cedar, oak, and hickory trees that populate the woods. There are also a number of small creeks that flow through the forest, and a calm lake rests near the center of the park, creating a truly magical setting for a walk or hike along the trails. The trails themselves vary in difficulty, and you can find both paved and natural trails in the park.

Harbins Park also has all of the amenities you might need for a pleasant visit with your dog. There are restrooms at the park, and it also has a help locator and maps. While your furry friend is required to remain on their leash throughout the trails, Harbins Park does have an off-leash dog area for you to enjoy.

As always, visitors to the park should be mindful of others. It goes without saying that cleaning up after your dog and respecting the personal space of other visitors create a better experience for everyone. Also, be sure to plan ahead and bring any snacks, water, or medicine that you will need while you enjoy the extensive trail system at Harbins Park.

Whether you want to spend the whole day exploring the natural features of this beautiful park or just take a pleasant morning stroll through the woods along the paved trail, you are sure to enjoy your experience at one of Georgia’s finest trail systems.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
