Description

The Murrell Home Nature Trail is on the Hunter's Home Park property in Park Hills. This short walkway through wooded areas includes interpretive signs that describe landmarks related to the Cherokee Trail of Tears. The paved path offers a scenic place for you to wander with your pooch as it follows Park Hill Creek for a while before heading deeper into the forest. There's a public restroom and picnic area by the parking lots. You'll find a few rest stations on the way where you can take a break with your fur-baby.

You and Fido can visit this trail between dawn and dusk any day of the week. Take a leisurely stroll across the bridge. The road has an inner and outer loop for you to explore with your special pal. You'll encounter some thicket after you cross the creek. On the outer loop, you and your fur-baby can climb the hilltop forest and walk along the ridge.

Walkers, hikers, and joggers are welcome to use this trail for recreation. Be careful to observe pathway etiquette and keep to the right when others pass. If you overtake other parties, let them know you're approaching, and go to their left-hand side. The park allows you to bring your dog with you when you visit as long as they're on a leash. Always have bags with you to remove any messes that Spot makes.

If you're looking for a peaceful path where you and your pooch can take your time walking through the woods, the Murrell Home Nature Trail fits the bill. This pawesome little road includes footbridges and a fire pit area. Enjoy the serenity of flowing waters and listen for birds singing in the trees as you meander under the canopy. On the way, you can review the historical markers to learn about the trail's historical significance.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
