Does your dog love going for walks? Are they fond of the beach? If so, Pinnacle Gulch Coastal Access Trail is the perfect hike for you and Fifi to take together! This trail is just over a mile long, so you don't need to be an experienced hiker to have a good time walking it. There's not any shade along the trail, though, so make sure you bring along water for both you and your pup. It's also not a bad idea to apply some sunscreen before you head out. Don't let sunburn ruin a fun day!
Along the way, you'll pass some snifftastic flora, including berries and wildflowers. Note that this trail isn't the most pawpular, so if you're looking for a little solitude, this trail is the pawfect place to find it! While this trail is out-and-back, if you go for your hike during low tide, you can turn it into a loop trail by circling back on the beach. This brings the total length of the hike to about two miles. If the tide is high, don't even attempt to use the loop -- you won't be able to.
We're certain that Fido will have a furrific time hiking with you, but there are certain rules you'll need to follow. Your pup will need to stay on their leash for the duration of your walk. Although you'll have pawlenty of fun watching your dog frolic in the beautiful, blue water, you don't want anything to happen to them. We know the trail has a surface of sand, but please don't let your pet use it as a litter box. Make sure you bring along some waste bags in order to quickly and easily clean up any messes your dog may make.
Pinnacle Gulch Coastal Access Trail is the perfect pawpportunity for you and Fido to get some exercise together, and what reward could be better than ending up at a beautiful beach? We can hear your dog howling in excitement!
