Description

Looking for a new place to take your pooch? Well, they will absolutely love Rose Kennedy Greenway! This unique trail runs through a linear park which is made up of five smaller parks. There’s so much for your doggo to see here you could spend hours on this trail.

Unfurtunately, the park has no designated parking. However, there are several public transit stations and parking garages nearby. Metered parking is also available along Atlantic Avenue. Before leaving home, plan your journey and check a map so you know exactly where to go. And don’t forget to pack some clean up bags and water.

Each park this trail goes through is incredibly interesting and has a lot to discover. On the northern end, the trail begins in North End Park. Walk around so your pup can admire the lovely gardens and canal. A long pergola stretches over benches and gives visitors a place to collect their thoughts. When your pooch is ready to move on, follow the paved pathway past the Armenian Heritage Park, Greenway Carousel, and Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion until you reach Wharf District Park. During the summer, it’s common to see food vendors, concerts and outdoor classes in this area. Take a stroll down Mother’s Walk for a sentimental journey.

The next park that you come to is Fort Point Channel Park. If your doggo is a nature lover, they will feel right at home in this green space. It is chock full of trees and flowers. After this park, you and your pup arrive at Dewey Square Park. Another hotbed of activity, this place is home to a farmer’s market during the summer. Finally, the trail ends in Chinatown Park. As they follow the serpentine walkway, your furry friend can admire the Asian inspired urban art.

All in all, Rose Kennedy Greenway is a furrific trail that will make your doggo’s tail wag!
