Description

Are you and your pup looking for an adventure in the great outdoors? Your search is over when you head to the Rosewood Trail to Angel Vista Trail. Located inside the Los Robles Open Space Area in Thousand Oaks, California, you will be treated to an amazing view at the summit.

Rosewood Trail offers a moderate to difficult hike for people and pups alike. To begin this trek, you can park at the Stagecoach Inn Museum just a short distance from the trailhead. Crossing Lynn Road, you will see the trailhead. This suburb area is very congested, however  that will all fade away quicklywhen you start your ascent from the information board! You are in the right spot!

This 4-mile roundtrip ascends for about 800 feet over its 2-mile one way to the top. If you are not used to hiking, this can be a challenge, but the trail itself is a well-maintained, dirt footing and offers beautiful views of the Conejos Valley along the way.

When you reach the summit, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Santa Monica Mountains, which Angel Vista is part of, as well as the San Gabriel Mountains. Rest your weary paws and feet and have a seat at the provided picnic table. This is a good spot to break out the water bottles and snacks to share. Your pawtastic pup has earned his doggy biscuit for sure!

The hard part of the hike is over and when you have completed your rest, heading back down is an easy descent with continued beautiful views. Be sure to keep your fur-ever friend on leash throughout your journey, although the path is plenty wide enough for other hikers.

Make the Rosewood Trail to Angel Vista part of your pup-tastic day today!
