There's no designated parking for Shoreline Access Path -- Strawberry. Drive to the intersection of Heron Drive and Egret Way and take advantage of street parking. Then cross the way into the shoreline. You'll see signs indicating the hours, that dogs should be leashed, and providing helpful waste bags. Keep walking along and you'll leave the buildings behind you! This path makes you feel far from the bustle of Mill Valley.
The views from this path are amazing. It's a great selfie spot, and offers beautiful views of the water and Mill Valley. The path itself is a simple dirt path that connects two meadows--with a bonus meadow thrown in! You'll pass through the first as soon as you enter the path. Follow the trail out the other side until you reach the next wide, green lawn. This is the halfway point, and the "bonus meadow". Continue out the other side for a third lawn at the end of your trek.
This is not a technically challenging hike. You can follow a clear path and keep your eyes peeled; you'll have to share the road with joggers, other dog walkers, and cyclists. Given how short it is, make the most of it by not rushing. Let your dog follow their nose around the meadow, spy on the native hummingbirds, or break to read a book, stretch your limbs, or eat in the beautiful meadows.
Make your next quick vacation a walk through Shoreline Access Path with your dog by your side!
