Description

Looking for a pawtastic hiking trail for you and your pup to enjoy today? Look no further than the Springhill Park Mountain Bike Trail. This pup-friendly trail is located in Springhill Park, within the city of Barling, Arkansas.

This trail is listed on the National Recreation Trails registry of the U.S. Department of the Interior. It is perfect for your fur-ever friend to navigate, as it is mostly flat and easily traversed. Most any fitness-level pup will enjoy your hike here together. The trail offers three different loops within the trail itself, so every time you visit, you can have a different experience. You will find shade throughout as it meanders under the canopy of the forest’s treetops. There are many places where you are walking under an overhang of vines, as if you are entering a cave. Your pup will find this very exciting and it offers a nice change of scenery.

Please be advised that Fido must remain on leash while hiking here. Mountain bicyclists will use this trail to practice for upcoming competitions that are held here twice per year. They may be traveling at excessive speeds, so keep your pup close! Springhill Park Trail is designed with a spider web in mind, so twists and turns should be expected on the path, and will keep your pup interested in what’s around the next bend!

Restrooms can be found at the main entrance to Springhill Park along with drinking fountains. However, there are neither on the trail, so plan accordingly. It is advised to bring water and snacks with you for your trek. Also, the summer months can be hot and humid, so a cooling neck wrap is advised for your hard-working pup!

Be sure to add Springhill Park Mountain Bike Trail to your pup-tastic to-do list this year!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
