The Tiburon Bike Path officially begins in Blackie's Pasture, a beautiful, spacious park in which a statue is holstered up in dedication to a retired cavalry horse named Blackie. Everypawdy knows of this famed horse, who has become the mascot of Tiburon. The trail then continues on a flat, paved route which lines the Tiburon coast and finishes in Belvedere. Pawrific views of the San Francisco Bay Area and of Mount Timalpais await you and your pup along the trail.
Keep an eye out for migratory birds, some year-round, such as red-tailed hawks and blue herons. In addition to wildlife and scenic views, you and your pup can enjoy a variety of attractions such as nearby parks, kid's playgrounds, and eateries. No need to wander far from the trail to woof down a delicious snack, as plenty of restaurants line Tiburon Boulevard which runs adjacent to Tiburon Bike Path.
Remember to keep your pooch leashed, as this path is a pawpular outdoor recreational destination for fellow dog-walkers, rollerbladers, bikers, and pedestrians. If the pavement is fairly hot on a warm summer's day, consider moving over to the dirt path right next to the trail. Luckily, the trail is wide enough to accommodate both cyclists and walkers, but keep an eye out nevertheless. Overall, the Tiburon Bike Path is a woofderful choice to enjoy a bit of exercise and outdoor fun with your doggoe!
