Lee Lateral Ditch Trail

Starting at Colorado Boulevard and ending at York Street, this five-mile hike is fun, easy, and dog furiendly with a shady path meandering along a historic irrigation canal. Along the path, you can read about the history of the area, and there are playgrounds and benches along the path. You can also connect to other trails for a longer adventure, such as the Park Village, Trail Winds, and Horizon Tributary Trails.

Sloan Lake Loop

If you start at the trailhead at 19th Avenue in Sloan’s Lake Park, you can travel about 2.6 miles around the entire lake, which has a diverse and private atmosphere that is still pristine and beautiful. The small critters and large ones alike will make way for you and your pooch to pass, and the waterfowl may even stay and let you take photos with them.

Cherry Creek Trail

Crown Hill Lake Loop

Starting on West 26th Street, this 1.6-mile loop trail is an easy and fun walk around Crown Hill Lake on both paved and natural dirt paths. It is stroller and wheelchair furiendly, and pawpular for its fantastic views of the mountains from the top, so it gets busy on the weekend. Be sure to bring your camera and keep Fifi leashed because there are lots of critters here.

Bear Creek Greenbelt Lakewood Trail

If you like lakes, meadows, bridges, and forests, this 3.5-mile path is the one fur you. Start at the Stone House parking area on Estes and head east on Yale along the north shore of the pond. You and Fifi will cross over several bridges and a couple of intersections where you can vary your path and mileage as you like. The cottonwood trees are amazing, and in the fall the colors are fantastic.

Westerly Creek Trail

For a nice workout with pawesome sections of wildflower meadows, canals, and wooded areas meandering along Westerly Creek, this 4.1-mile trail is furfect fur you. Starting at South Ursula and Yale and traveling to E. Alameda Avenue, the trail takes you on a trek through both Expo and Utah Parks with playgrounds, restrooms, and ballfields. This easy trail will eventually meet up with the 71-mile High Line Canal Trail.

South Platte River Greenbelt Trail

If you want a trail right in downtown Denver that takes you into isolated and beautiful areas of this diverse greenspace, this is it. Starting at Dartmouth Avenue and East 104th Avenue, this 3.3-mile easy to moderate trail along the South Platte River Greenway has some pawesome features like the river, forested areas, creeks, bridges, shops, parks, and amazing arrays of colorful flowers.

Clear Creek Trail and Prospect Lake Loop

While the Clear Creek Trail runs for 22 miles thoughout the city of Denver, the section near the Prospect and West Lakes provides a wooferful loop that runs 6.8-miles for an easy hike that you and your pooch will love. Featuring both a paved and a natural path, there are many points of interest including several parks, the Coors Brewery, a wildlife area, West Lake, Tabor Lake, Clear Creek Canyon, and the South Platte River.

Sand Creek Greenway Trail

This trail is about 14 miles of easy to moderate hiking along Sand Creek. The adventure starts in Aurora by Coal Creek Arena, and takes you and your furbaby through the Riparian Preserve, Star K Ranch Natural Area, Norfolk Park, Parklane Park, Sand Creek Park, Bluff Lake, Central Park, Wetlands Park, Pepper Riparian Park, and then meets the South Platte River Greenway. You’ll see plenty of gorgeous scenery, wildlife, and wildflowers along this pawesome path.

Green Mountain and Hayden Trail Loop

This nice, easy loop trail is just short of two miles and offers a panoramic view and pawpular photo ops all along the way. The picturesque landscape of the mountains is stunning, and you and your pupster will get a good workout with an elevation gain of almost 400 feet. You will be sure to enjoy this trek with your furbuddy any time of the year, but it is best during the spring and summer.
