Woodmont Triangle is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Bethesda, Maryland, a popular and affluent Washington, D.C. suburb. This small neighborhood is a rather condensed commercial area in the Bethesda area and it is home to many local boutiques, sporting goods stores, bars, and restaurants. Many of the local dining establishments have outdoor seating and quite a few of them welcome pups to quietly join you during your meal. Other restaurants and local shops are still pet-friendly, frequently putting out cool water bowls during the warmer months of the year.

Like many local neighborhoods, Woodmont Triangle should have plenty of good weather for walking your pups. The spring and fall seasons can be quite nice, breezy, and the perfect temperature to explore the surrounding neighborhoods. Unfortunately, the summer months can get quite humid, so you and your pup should remain hydrated at all times! Finally, winter months can be quite chilly, but thankfully, you shouldn't deal with too much snow.

Woodmont Triangle should be fairly walkable, as the the entire neighborhood has quite large and well-maintained sidewalks. The only cracks or disruption may be from any construction going on in the area. Unfortunately, because of this neighborhood's urban terrain, there are very few greenways or patches of grass or dirt for you and your pup to stop at. There is also an unfortunate shortage of trees, so shade may be in short supply during sunny days!

Since the neighborhood is largely a commercial space, it is well trafficked, both with pedestrians and with vehicles. You and your pup should remain aware of your surroundings, cross roads with caution, and be on the lookout for other pups or pets out walking. Additionally, quite a few people will cycle through this neighborhood, particularly during commuting hours, so be aware of any nearby cyclists.

Thankfully, Woodmont Triangle is a rather flat neighborhood, so there are no hills for you and Fido to maneuver.

Unfortunately, there is only one public park located in Woodmont Triangle. Veterans Park is a small, paved, and manicured public park, but it almost acts like a town square as there is no space for general recreation and very little greenery.

Thankfully, there are a few parks within walking distance of this neighborhood. Battery Lane Urban Park is only a few blocks north of Woodmont Triangle. This large public park is home to a playground, tennis courts, and a basketball court. A piece of the Bethesda Trolley Trail, a running and walking trail that goes through the surrounding area, also runs through Battery Lane Urban Park. This trail also connects to several other local parks.

Almost directly to the east of Woodmont Triangle, you will find the smaller Cheltenham Drive Urban Park and Chase Avenue Urban Park. Both of these small areas have playgrounds, a few benches, and manicured green spaces to enjoy with your canine companion.
