Serving as a suburb for Washington DC, it is nearly impossible to find wide open spaces in a quiet neighborhood such as this. The atmosphere extends to its streets and residents rate this neighborhood as extremely walkable. Don’t expect to find any amenities within this space, however, as most residents will need to venture to downtown Silver Springs where restaurants, stores, and other services are more plentiful. Pet stores, groomers, and vets can all be found nearby in the downtown area as well for those seeking to fulfill their pet's needs.
Winters can be rough in this area, with Nor’easters that can swipe through. However, at least two-thirds of the year is dry and walkable. During the summer, keep an eye on the pavement as it can get a little too hot for sensitive paws.
