For the most part, Five Points should be a great neighborhood for you and your pup to explore while on your daily walks. First, most of the neighborhood has well-maintained sidewalks. While using these sidewalks, you will predominantly be in a quiet residential neighborhood. These residential areas also have quite a few trees to help shade you from the hot, summer sun. However, the eastern border of neighborhood is not residential, has a major road, and has higher traffic.

Asheville is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, so some hills are to be expected while exploring the Five Points neighborhood. The hills are sporadic throughout the area, but many of them are a bit on the steeper side. Just be careful while out walking, particularly if you or your pup have any mobility issues.

The boundaries of Five Points include University Heights and West T. Weaver Boulevard to the north, Merrimon Avenue to the east, Broadway Street and Reed Creek to the south, and Campus Drive to the west.
