Foxcroft is a pleasant, mature tree-filled neighborhood located in the suburbs of Charlotte. While the neighborhood doesn't have as many bike paths as some neighborhoods, most streets are quiet and houses are well set back so there is plenty of grass under pleasant tree cover. Winters get chilly around Charlotte, but it is rarely too cold or rainy for a good walk.
McMullen Creek runs through Foxcroft, making for a pleasant, natural walk along the creek, with more diverse terrain than the rest of Foxcroft. During cold weather the creek produces fog in the mornings, so avoid it if you don't like walking through fog.
Restaurants like Brixx Wood Fired Pizza offer outdoor seating for you and your pup if you'd like a bite to eat on your walk.
The McMullen Creek offers some diversity and a splash of nature to Foxcroft dog walks. This natural creek winds through town, and while not accessible for walking in all areas, it offers a nice change from walking along the street where it is available.
Huntington Park also offers a large, natural, tree-filled space. Trees here are old, mature, and dense, providing shade during hot summer NC days and breaking the wind on cold winter days. Settle down for a pleasant picnic mid-walk, or toss a frisbee for your dog.
