Peccole Ranch is a housing association neighborhood with 50 acres of common areas which include tree-lined streets, walking trails, and greenbelts. The neighborhood has a contiguous greenbelt stretching diagonally through the area and along the north side of the community.
Peccole Ranch is bordered by West Charleston Boulevard on the north border, West Sahara Avenue on the south, South Hualapai Way on the west, and Fort Apache Road on the east. The neighborhood has attractive, architecturally uniform homes within gated areas. Properties are well landscaped and maintained, many with drought-tolerant plantings.
There are separate sidewalks in most areas, so you and your dog don't have to share the road with local traffic. The terrain is level and there are no steep hills to trek up on hot summer days. Commercial areas on the north and south border have more traffic and parking lots can be a hazard to pets, so use caution, keep your dog leashed, and be vigilant in these areas.
With 50 acres of communal green space, Peccole Ranch has plenty of local greenways to stroll with your canine companion. The Peccole Ranch Trail runs through the community greenways which stretch through various locations in the neighborhood and are easily accessible for all residents and their pets. There is also a disc golf course and bocce ball court in the community.
A small greenway with an open grassy area that is surrounded by trees is located on Chaparral Summit Drive and Northern Dancer Drive. Your dog must remain leashed on the trail, greenways, and in the small park and you should bring supplies to clean up after them.
In addition, you can hike a few blocks west to take a stroll with your pup through the Summerlin Center Community Park. This greenway has recreational fields and facilities, walking trails, and great views of the mountains in the distance. There are some shady spots to take a break from the heat too!
