Like the rest of New York, Munsey Park experiences all four seasons throughout the year. During the winter, you will likely experience cold, winter days with plenty of snowfall and wind! During the summer, it will probably be rather hot and humid, so be sure to check the temperature of sidewalks or roads before walking! You always want to make sure to protect Fido's sensitive paws!
The borders of Munsey Park include Kensett Road to the north, Port Washington Boulevard to the east, Northern Boulevard to the south (ironic, we know!), and Eakins Road and Munsey Place to the west. While most roads are part of residential neighborhoods, Northern Boulevard is home to a large shopping area and has higher traffic than the rest of Munsey Park.
One mile to the south of Munsey Park is Christopher Morley Park. This 98-acre park has a 9-hole golf course, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, baseball fields, a playground, a picnicking area, an ice skating rink, a pool, a one-mile fitness trail, and space for general recreation. The best park of Christopher Morley Park is the small dog run located on the north side of the park.
Other nearby greenways are golf courses or cemetaries, so pups are unfortuantely not welcome.
