Elevated train tracks run through the neighborhood and there are tracks on the south and eastern border as well. Elevated train tracks are easy to cross under, but street-level tracks can present more of a barrier to pedestrians and their pups. Sunset Park is a beautiful park located on the north side of Borough Park. This green space is famous for its views of the Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the surrounding Brooklyn neighborhoods. The park is 24 acres in size and offers a variety of recreational activities including sports facilities, eateries, an outdoor pool, and a playground. Your dog will enjoy the designated off-leash area located on the sunset oval lawn. This area is not enclosed and dogs taking advantage of this off-leash area must have good recall and be well socialized.

To the west, the 6-acre Leif Erickson Park is a long, narrow park with recreational facilities and another off-leash area located between 6th and 7th Avenue on 67th Street. Gravesend Park is located on the south side of the neighborhood and provides 6 acres of recreational space with paved paths where local canines can enjoy a stroll.
