Manhattan Beach is a beautiful peninsula of Brooklyn that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean to the south and east and to the Sheepshead Bay in the North. The homes in this neighborhood are beautiful, with well-manicured lawns. Homes are generally close together, but most usually have at least an alley in between them. The sidewalk is narrow but has a grassy divider studded with mature trees between the sidewalk and road. Most yards are unfenced, although small, and are well-maintained. Even where yards are fenced, the relatively low traffic makes you feel comfortable walking your dog on a loose leash through Manhattan Beach.
While walking through the neighborhood streets of Manhattan is certainly pleasant, there is little question that at some point you will want to head towards the beach. The beach here is large and very beautiful. Your dog will love running along the beach or playing frisbee or fetch. There are also pleasant walking paths in the grassy area around Manhattan Beach and lots of benches and places for you to relax with your dog.
