There are several parks, recreational areas, schoolyards, and playgrounds in the area, providing greenways to residents and their pets. The Levy Park features a playground, bathrooms, and a basketball court, and is a popular local destination for walking. Veterans Park is another small park located in Port Richmond that locals enjoy. The Faber Pool and Park located near the waterfront features an outdoor pool, skate park, playground, recreation center and basketball courts, and is a popular place for young people in the neighborhood. Cpl. Thompson Park is another recreational area with green space featuring sports fields, outdoor pools, playgrounds, a running track, and other facilities located on the eastern edge of the community. Just south of Port Richmond, the Cloves Lake Park is a large park, with 193 acres of lakes, trails, trees, and open spaces. Residents on the south end of Port Richmond may be able to access this park on foot, or it can be reached by a very short drive just south of Port Richmond. Heritage Park, which was formerly known as the Blissenbach Marina, is located on the waterfront. This 9-acre park has open lawns, trees, and landscaping with walking paths and benches. It boasts views of the Bayonne Bridge and views across the water.
