There's also Canine Styles Uptown where you can get your pet a hairstyle fit for the runway. With a short walk around the neighborhood, you're sure to run into one of these many stores and upscale salons around the UES. If you have an emergency, there are also many clinics including the Upper East Veterinary Center, Animal Clinic of New York, and Upper East Side Animal Hospital.
You and your pet can also enjoy the day just wandering around this sprawling neighborhood. The streets are flat and are perfect for a stroll without tiring you out too quickly. Many of the streets are also lined with trees and small, manicured lawns to admire. The UES is large and features many blocks of streets with stores, hotels, and fancy homes, making it easy to plan a short or long walk.
You can spend your entire day exploring Central Park or, if you want to stay in the UES, you can find several small parks throughout the area. On the eastern side is Carl Schurz Park which borders the East River and also features an off-leash area for the Fidos of New York City. St. Catherine's Park is a small square next to a church with shaded areas to rest as well as a playground. You'll also find a dog run along the John Finley Walk, a pathway that follows the East River along FDR Drive.
