To the south, you have Midland Beach, a coastal area whose boundary is Seaview Avenue. Just north of Dongan Hills is the area of Old Town with the boundary generally defined as Old Town Road. Heading inland, west of Dongan Hills is Richmond Road and the affluent area of Todt Hill.

What is the terrain like in Dongan Hills?
Dongan Hills marks the start of the incline towards the highest point on Staten Island. Therefore, you will encounter some gradients as you walk through the neighborhood. If you’re looking to avoid this sort of incline, head in the direction of the coast down to Midland Beach or South Beach. This large park is so big that it will never feel busy and you’ll always be able to find a quiet spot if that’s what you’re looking for.
Another greenway in Dongan Hills is Last Chance Pond Park. It is located on Zoe Street and Naughton Boulevard in the south of the neighborhood. Here, you’ll find a quiet creek that runs through its center. It’s almost more of a nature preserve than a park and you’ll find a lot of dense forest. You’ll also find sports courts nearby which are great for if you’re walking the kids to their ball game.
