Eltingville is a long, narrow neighborhood in Staten Island. This charming neighborhood is bordered by Freshkills Park to the north and the Lower Bay to the south. To the east is Bay Terrace and to the west is Annadale and Arden Heights. This neighborhood was once called South Side, but it took the name of a prominent family by the name of Elting that settled there in the late 19th century. The area received a huge population influx in the 1960s.

To the west, Blue Heron Park has miles of forested areas as well as pleasant beach. Several little ponds here provide varied exploration.
