The Frederick Douglass Memorial Park contains a memorial to the social reformer and abolitionist. The park has large green lawns with some trees and paved pedestrian paths. Alternatively, Latourette Park is located to the west of Richmond Town. This 760-acre park has eateries, historic houses, and is popular with model aircraft aficionados.
High Rock Park is located just north. With 94 acres of wooded areas, ponds, and wetlands, this park is noted for its tranquility. There are six walking trails in the park taking visitors and their pets through unique local trees and foliage.
