There are two large cemeteries and a recreation center with sports fields in the community providing manicured green spaces.
Awbury Park is located just south of West Oak Lane and is within walking distance for most residents. This park has sports and recreational fields and facilities and an arboretum which attracts many visitors. The park has 55 acres of property landscaped in an English Country style with wooded areas, rolling hills, ponds, and open spaces. Trails meander through the park and provide an ideal place for pedestrians to take a stroll.
Russell Park is located just to the north of West Oak Lane and provides a baseball field surrounded by trees. Some paved pedestrian paths border the park and can be enjoyed as greenways when walking your dog.
For a larger greenway, visit the Tacony Creek Park and the Tacony Creek Trail which is paved and accessible to a variety of users. There are footbridges and winding trails with lots of wildlife to spy with your pup. Keep your dog on a leash on the trail.
