Beltzhoover is a neighborhood located in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Largely residential, Beltzhoover is currently undergoing some revitalization efforts. Local nonprofits have begun purchasing local homes, renovating them, and supporting home ownership in the area. Many of these residences are standalone, single-family homes but a few have been renovated into several smaller apartment units. Beyond homes, Beltzhoover also has several churches, some locally-owned businesses, a small medical practice, and access to Pittsburgh's light rail system.

Located where three rivers meet, Pittsburgh is an ever-growing city with so much for both visitors and residents to do and see. Art lovers can visit the Andy Warhol Museum, the Mattress Factory, a contemporary art museum, or the Carnegie Museum of Art. If art isn't your thing, you can also see one of the three professional sports teams play, visit several concert or performing arts venues, or head to many local breweries and several prominent parks.

Beltzhoover is not the most easily walked neighborhood. While it is not a standard concrete jungle, Beltzhoover is a rather urban neighborhood. There are old, cracked sidewalks with roots and grass growing through. Thankfully, many of these sidewalks and local streets are lined with grassy patches. There are also plenty of large trees throughout Beltzhoover to provide shade during hot, sunny days.

Like much of Pittsburgh, Beltzhoover is a rather hilly neighborhood. In fact, it is only two and a half miles away from Canton Avenue, one of the steepest streets in America. Definitely research your walking routes prior to heading out the door.

The boundaries of Beltzhoover include West Warrington Avenue to the north, Beltzhoover Avenue to the east, Bausman Street to the south, and Saw Mill Run Boulevard to the west. The northwest border of this neighborhood is adjacent to Pittsburgh's light rail system, so there may be more pedestrian traffic in that area, particularly during commuting hours.
