The climate in Wells Branch is amenable to pedestrians with temperate weather in the spring and fall and mild winters with temperatures well above the freezing mark. The Wells Branch Trail is surfaced with decomposed granite and used by hikers and cyclists. Keep your dog on a leash and watch out for other users.
The Mills Pond Recreation Area that is accessible from the trail features Mills Pond which is popular with locals and has a floating dock, fishing, non-motorized boating, and lots of local wildlife in the park to watch. The recreation area also has plenty of sports of facilities for locals to enjoy.
