The Arts District is a very vibrant and beautiful area in the northern edge of downtown Dallas. Although this area is still technically downtown, unfortunately, it is not close to very many pet services. However, some of the ones that are available are very high quality and are sure to give both you and your pet a great experience. Something fun to do in the area, although not pet friendly, is to visit the Dallas World Aquarium. This fun and beautiful aquarium is one of the largest in Texas and features large themed rooms to make you feel as if you are in nature with the animals. It also features a shark tank tunnel!

The Arts District may provide some good indoor activity for you to hide away from the Dallas heat, especially in the summer months. Take advantage of these air-conditioned spaces as the temperatures can certainly climb above 100 degrees.

Due to the Art District's location so close to the center of downtown Dallas, it is a very flat and artificial area. However, it is still slightly less artificial than the center of downtown due to the more neighborhood like set up. This means that instead of rows of big towering skyscrapers, this area is surrounded by rows of houses and yards. Therefore, although it is still highly populated, you can enjoy a safe place to walk with beautiful and well-kept lawns all around.

Although this place definitely does have a more narrow audience than somewhere with more beautiful natural sights, it can still be the perfect neighborhood for some people. One person who may love this area is someone who works hard in downtown Dallas and holds their job as a high priority. This neighborhood would give them the closeness to be able to commute to work with ease while still providing a pleasant suburban atmosphere.

Although almost all of the parks in the area are big city parks and you can see a skyscraper from just about anywhere in this area, these parks have unique charms that are very hard to find outside a big city. Klyde Warren Park is a perfect example of that. This large urban park hosts everything from food trucks, arts, and music, to fitness and children's activity classes. This is a great spot for community and adventure.

Another great choice is the more traditional Griggs Park. This tranquil memorial park is full of beautiful green fields and plenty of walking trails. Belo Garden is probably the most unique greenery you can find in the area with a huge garden featuring native plants and a beautiful interactive water feature.

Finally, for those who really enjoy the city and want a park representative of its modern style flare, Lubben Plaza Park is the place to go.
