If you have an emergency, there are several animal hospitals in the north including VCA Preston Park Animal Hospital, North Tollway Pet Hospital, Bent Tree Animal Hospital, and the Animal Diagnostic Clinic.
While most of the streets are very quiet and have wide sidewalks perfect for a walk with Fido, there are a few areas to take caution in. Some of the roads don't have sidewalks and, while they're fairly quiet, it's best to avoid them or use extreme caution when walking down them. In addition, Far North Dallas' north and south borders are a turnpike and an expressway, two busy roads that are best avoided.
The best part about a walk in Far North Dallas is the opportunity for some leash-free fun. There are several dog parks in the area that welcome pets to run, romp, and explore while making some friends. The NorthBark Dog Park has two areas as well as a pond for the water lovers! Alternatively, the Wagging Tail Dog Park features a large fenced-in area with plenty of space for running.
