First Company is on the outermost edge of East Dallas and, although this may not be the traditional downtown Dallas experience, this great suburb sure has a lot to offer. This area is especially full of animal hospitals, clinics, and vet offices all designed to keep your pet healthy and happy. This comes as a great relief to any resident pet owners who have the comfort of being able to find their most trusted locations and really feel like they have a team of professionals by their side to help keep their dog safe at any time.

Some of the best of these in the area include Buckner Animal Clinic, Buckner Terrace Animal Clinic, The Spay Neuter Network, Pruitt Jeffery J. DVM, and Lake Ray Hubbard Emergency Pet Care. There are also a few grooming locations in the area that offer quick and excellent customer service for both you and your furry friend.

First Company is yet another very common West Texas area with very flat terrain as well as highly artificial surroundings. Although there are some lovely parks in the area that can provide a safe and fun place for all humans and dogs alike to enjoy being outside, these parks are few and far between and can get old to some longtime residents. They are best for parents of young children to have a safe place to entertain their children and their furry friend. However, they can be inconvenient for serious nature enthusiasts or someone wanting a more calm and quiet walking path without the added volume that always comes with having several children in the same area.

The flat terrain can also be great for parents who want their children as well as their pets to make it through a daily walk without injuring themselves or overheating, but especially active people may find themselves bored with the paths.

Unfortunately, this is one of the less exciting parts of the DFW area when it comes to local places to get outside and get active. Many of the parks are the traditional neighborhood layout that, in general, does not have very many exciting natural views and has a high level of artificiality for a park. However, the family friendly environment, as well as the closeness to a number of neighborhoods, restaurants, and businesses can make these quaint parks exactly what some people are looking for.

Harry Stone Recreation Center is one of the most artificial park options available, however, it is full of exciting activities for all ages such as athletic fields, a playground, a tennis court, trails, and a gym.

One option that has the unique advantage of being geared around a fun experience for dogs is the City of Mesquite Dog Park. This great dog park is very large, very green, and separated out for different sized furry friends.
