Kidd Springs is a neighborhood located in central, southwest Dallas, Texas, close to the central business district and the Bishops Arts District. Amenities like shops and restaurants are located in adjacent neighborhoods. A recreation center and park are situated centrally and provide an excellent walking destination for residents.

Kidd Springs is a residential neighborhood with a large park and recreational center of the same name. The neighborhood is defined by Colorado Boulevard on its north side and West Davis Street on the south, Zang Boulevard on its eastern border, and Tyler Street to the west. The area contains a historic district and many homes in the area are older with unique architecture. Houses are well setback from streets with large well landscaped lawns. The area is heavily treed on private properties, public parks, and along residential streets. The mature tree canopy in the area provides much welcome shade for hot Dallas weather. Sidewalks have wide grassy berms that provide cooler footing.

There are some slight inclines in the area, but they do not present a significant barrier to pedestrians. There is a spring and lake in the park to enjoy and the nearby arts district with heavier pedestrian and commercial traffic is situated to the south.

Kidd Springs Park is located in the center of the neighborhood along with a recreation center. The park and center have many amenities including a basketball court, pavilion, picnic areas and tables, a playground, butterfly garden, sand volleyball court, soccer and softball fields, tennis courts, and an outdoor pool. Greenways and trails abound throughout the area and loop around facilities and the cool blue lake situated here. There is fishing at the lake, so watch out for hooks and lines and fishing activities when walking your dog so your pup does not become entangled. 

There are benches and a water supply along the greenways where you can refill your water bottle or take a break in the shade. This beautiful park has lots of open areas and plenty of mature shade trees. Public art is on display throughout the park to add interest and there is even wifi available if you need to access it.
