While speed limits will be reduced in the area, driveways are long and garages are often located at the back of the house. Be alert for cars backing out of driveways and inattentive drivers. Consider carrying water for you and your pup and be respectful of private property by carrying out any waste your pup might produce.
To the south just a few blocks at S. Malcolm X Boulevard and Pennsylvania sits Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Home to a recreational center, outdoor basketball court, and playground, this 12-acre community park is a well-appreciated destination for the community. Look for high pedestrian traffic after work and on the weekends.
Kimble Park is at Pennsylvania and Edgewood, just about three blocks to the southeast. This is a small 1-acre park that has a playground and outdoor basketball court. It can be a great pit stop for you and your pup on a longer walk as the park supplies drinking fountains for water bottle refills.
