Urbandale Park is on the very eastern edge of downtown Dallas, Texas. Although it is technically in the downtown region, a mix of distance and a lower than average population in the eastern part of Dallas makes it feel much smaller. There is also a real lack of businesses and restaurants which is certainly not a standard for the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This, unfortunately, also extends to pet services which may really bother some pet owners who want multiple options in order to find the perfect care for their pet.

Although this is a challenge, with the high ratings of the few remaining locations, residents just may be able to find what they are looking for locally. Some great grooming options include And Toto 2 Professional Pet Service and VIPets Dallas. There is also a great training facility known as Power to The PawZ Pet Services and Education  and a hospital known as Bickner Terrace Animal Clinic.

The beautiful White Rock Creek is a very common natural landmark to the area. Partially because of the beautiful water itself, but also because of the flourishing of parks this creek has inspired. This creek is almost completely lined with greenery and really adds some color to an otherwise almost entirely artificial landscape. Although this particular neighborhood only catches the tail end of the creek, the park phenomenon has spread well into their territory and really helped add a single element of nature to a highly fake landscape.

The creek also helps slightly with the very flat terrain by adding some hilly options up by the waterline. However, the majority of the area is still considered very flat. Although this can be inconvenient for active hikers, it pairs nicely with some other elements such as the safety of the local neighborhood parks which makes this neighborhood a great place to raise a family.

Unfortunately, this area still has a lower number of local parks than average, even with the help of White Rock Creek. Although this can be a real downer for some who crave an exciting nature adventure, these safe local parks are exactly what some residents need. One great local park is Paschall Park. This park has more of a relaxing feel, perfect for a calming dog walk with a lot of green space, picnic areas, and a disc golf course.

Pleasant Oaks is just as great with a baseball field, playgrounds, a swimming pool with slides, and a great rec center. City Lake Park brings with it a bit more excitement with a little league field, tennis courts, picnic tables, an activity center, and a marvelous lake right in the middle with a beautiful water fountain.

There are several other smaller parks, so the real key to this area is finding the little gem that is perfect for you.
