On the northern edge of Dallas, Texas, the quaint neighborhood of Vickery Meadows has a suburban feel that is sure to please. Although this neighborhood is a bit further out of the heart of downtown, it has managed to maintain very high levels of local commerce. This is largely due to the flat terrain making it harder for small children, pets, or other more susceptible groups to overheat or hurt themselves. Although this may not seem like a big deal to most, it may be exactly what some residents, such as moms with small children, are looking for in a place to call home. 

The neighborhood parks in the area also help slightly in giving people somewhere to go to get a bit more of a natural scenery. It is also the perfect place to take your favorite pup for a relaxing walk.

Although the parks in this area are limited mainly to neighborhood parks due to the lack of natural attractions in the area, there is a very helpful creek known as White Rock that brings some life into the region and makes some local parks a bit more amazing. There is also a very high average household income in the area, meaning that most of these neighborhoods have associations making sure their parks stay very beautiful and safe. 

A great example of this can be found at Lake Highlands North Park which features barbecue picnic spots, sports courts, a lake with a beautiful water fountain, play areas, a pool, and a rec center. A more simple option that is perfect for a peaceful walk with your furry friend is White Rock.Creek Trail. On this trail, you get to follow the famous creek that holds the whole area together while enjoying a peaceful walk.
