Spring Branch Central is a neighborhood located in Northwest Houston, Texas. There are commercial thoroughfares in Spring Branch Central which include a section of Emnora Lane with a restaurant and grocery store as well as Blalock Road where pharmacies, stores, services, and local eateries are present.

Schools and a medical center are also within walking distance and some large commercial shopping areas are located to the southeast which include large chain pet stores. Although these shopping plazas are a bit of a jaunt, they can be reached on foot or by a short drive.

Houston pet owners enjoy warm temperatures throughout the year for walks. Winter is cooler, however, temperatures are mild and usually above freezing. Occasional freezing rain episodes make conditions slick and should be avoided. Summer temperatures can be very hot and are a risk for pedestrians and pets that overexert themselves, are overexposed, or become dehydrated. Drink lots of water and find shade for you and your pup!

This community is a suburban-like residential neighborhood with ranch and bungalow style single-family homes, housing complexes, apartments, and condominiums as well as some commercial areas and facilities. Spring Lake is situated in the community and is associated with an apartment, housing complex, and communal property for residents of the developments. The residential properties are well landscaped and there are lots of trees, lawns, and gardens providing greenery to the neighborhood.

Train tracks along the northeast side present an impediment to pedestrians and pets and should be avoided or crossed only at designed crossing ways. There is a largely undeveloped, heavily treed area east of Hollister Road with natural terrain. The neighborhood is flat for the most part and there are no steep hills for people and their pooches to worry about climbing. Several bayous run through Spring Branch Central which feed into the Buffalo Bayou.
