Although there are a few very highly rated groomers in the area, the real downfall of this area is the lack of pet safety facilities. Residents have a hard time feeling safe knowing their pets have nowhere to go in case of emergency.
Another important factor is the very artificial suburban layout of the entire area. It discourages strong nature enthusiasts with a lack of natural views and long runs of houses close together. It also discourages most city slickers because it is pretty far out from the core of the city. However, it is perfect for people who value close-knit neighborhood communities.
A great example of this is Bob Woodruff Park North. Not only does this great spot have a playground, fishing pier, volleyball court, and well paved trails, but it also has a great dog park!
Another fun option is Schell Park. This very traditional neighborhood park features two playgrounds, baseball and soccer fields, a beautiful pavilion, and restrooms. The Spring Creek Nature Area is easily the best place to go for truly beautiful sights of nature. This is one of those very rare parks that really stand out amongst the rest. The simple walking trails are all you need to make this park complete.
