How many greenways are there in Columbia?
Columbia is blessed with a number of greenways either in the neighborhood or just outside its boundaries. Peabody Plaza to the north is just a simple triangular patch of grass and trees, but it can be a great place to stop and rest your feet. Just south of there is Lorraine Ellis Park which is no bigger, but the bench and playground under the cover of trees make a tempting target for taking a load off if you have been walking a long way.
Elizabeth Park is the oldest park in Bellingham and is quite a bit larger. There are walking paths there amongst the trees that are begging to be enjoyed.
Right next to the neighborhood to the west is Squalicum Creek Park which is noteworthy, not just because of its size, but also because of the number of trails and the fact that it has a dog park that your pup is sure to enjoy.
