Situated just behind Capitol Hill and south of Montlake, this area is quieter than most. You will find a wide range of businesses along the perimeter of Stevens, but only a few through the mostly residential center of the neighborhood.
Most of what you will find is restaurants, but there is also a store or two along the way. Fortunately, the retailers have not forgotten your fluffy friend as there is also a pet store in the area and a place to get a bath and thorough grooming.

How many greenways are there in Stevens?
While Stevens is one of the few landlocked neighborhoods in the area that does not have access to the waterfront, you have plenty of greenways around and the water is never very far away. To the north end of Stevens, you will find Interlaken Park. This 51-acre park has many trails for you and your pup to explore and there is even some nice hiking trails in a densely wooded area, making it a real treat for urban dwellers.
Volunteer Park is just southwest of the interurban park which is a bit more urban, offering paths instead of dirt trails like Interlake Park has.
To the east is the Alder Creek Natural area, Seattle Japanese Garden, and Washington Park Playfield. While neither the garden or the playfield allows dogs, you and your pups can walk the plethora of pathways surrounding them. You will find lots of trees and grass surrounding both as well as the creek for your pup to enjoy exploring.
