About the caregiver

I am a current staff member at the Animal Care League as an animal care tech. Every day I go to work, I spend my time taking care of all of the shelter animals, but have been primarily working with the dogs. I have walked the smallest dogs to the biggest and absolutely love it. Prior to starting my job at the shelter, I volunteered and pet sat for about 15 years. I also care for pets when I nanny or babysit, since the majority of the kids l've cared for have dogs, cats, and even sometimes birds, reptiles or smaller mammals. I do have two cats at home, and my dad and stepmom have a dog that I visit/sit for often. I'd love to adopt my own pup one day. Just waiting for when I have a nice yard for them to play in and run around! I am currently in my final semester of Graduate school, work two part time jobs and have one internship, but that won't stop me! I'm free after class, before or even after working my other jobs, and most Wednesdays and Saturdays! I absolutely love taking pups for long walks, working on some training if requested, playing with them in the backyard or at dog parks, and of course giving them all the love they deserve! I also very much adore taking care of cats! Giving them all the pets and scratches, while also making sure they have clean water and food along with toys to play with and comfy places to rest.
