About the caregiver

A New Yorker that grew up downtown. I’m an artist, a vegetarian & bilingual. I’ve cared for dogs from the huge ones to the tiny ones. I once had to housesit during the holidays for 7 cats & two older dogs that were sisters, in the same household. As pets, I’ve had hamsters, a gecko, a turtle, beta-fish, sea-monkeys, an ant-farm, a parrot, and a cat. I’ve always loved animals, another expression/form of life. When I was a child, I saved a bat from a pool in the country house. At a zoo, a monkey reached out to me from her cage, and I leaned in and she pet my head. Much later on I thought sure, there could’ve been a chance of her pulling on me aggressively. But in the moment, I wasn’t scared. I felt welcomed by her. Without animals, where would we be? I’ve housesat dogs/cats in TriBeCa, Battery Park City, the Financial District, SoHo, Greenwich Village, the Lower East side, the East Village, Greenpoint BK, Carroll Gardens BK, Cobble Hill BK & Brooklyn Heights
