Behaviorally complex dog experience
About the caregiver
Hiya! My name is Skye (wrong profile name I apologize). I’m here to support more dog parents in my community! In my 6 years of experience as a professional dog trainer, I have worked with a large variety of dogs and I specialize in dogs with Big Feelings about the world (reactive dogs). I am happy to meet you in advance and take time to get to know your pup and can safely handle “difficult” dogs both in the home and on walks. I have GPS collars for hiking/nature adventures and both an Intermediate and Large Ruffland in my car for safe transport! I have two dogs of my own currently 💚 Newt is my standard poodle who taught me all about Big Feelings/reactivity. Juniper is my adolescent GSP who has helped me grow in my knowledge and skill working with high drive, high energy breeds. Please note that I cannot take on sitting requests that require 24/7 care in order to properly meet my dogs’ needs too. I am experienced with most gear and all standard training tools, but I prefer to use a wide flat collar or harness if you have one. Gear and handling is something I like to cover with new clients right away so we both know exactly what to expect! If your dog has food allergies or specific food needs, please let me know ASAP and I also have experience safely handling and providing different forms of raw food as well. I am Accredited through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, a Certified Control Unleashed Instructor, and an AKC and DMWYD Evaluator.
