About the caregiver

Hi! My name is Kate, I have been passionate about animals since I joined planet earth. I have over 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, and over 8 years of work with local shelters, rescues, and fostering. I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Florida in december of 2023 to be close to family and go back to school to become a CVT. I’m a huge botany and entomology nerd, and really just a fan of all things living. In my spare time I love to paint, I worked as a freelance artist in Memphis for just over 5 years, and really enjoyed the experiences I had. I love art and will continue to pursue it, but my heart is and will always be in the veterinary field. I have 2 cats, a dog, isopods, millipedes, and over 100 houseplants. I adopted my senior cat (Speck) when she was 9, and I have a 2 year old cat (Odin) who was a foster failure. My dog is Finn, she’s a 6 year old lab mix and my partner in crime. We love to go on hikes, camping trips, and all forms of travel. Her favorite things include car rides, chicken, dancing, basking in the sun, beach zoomies, new people, other dogs, and her kitty siblings! I am very excited for the change of scenery, and all the opportunities the sunshine state has to offer. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or specialty needs.
