About the caregiver

Hi there! My name is Mackenzie and I am 25. I live in Arden, NC with Pisgah National Forrest and the Blueridge Parkway basically in my backyard. I love hiking and camping with my fur baby Mavis and would love to take your dog(s) on some fun outdoor adventures too! I have a BS in Psychology and am on my way to pursuing a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Professionally, I take veterans, recovering addicts, and adolescents involved in the DJJ on hikes and outdoor adventures where I facilitate therapeutic groups and hold space to watch nature heal. Obviously, I’m a big outdoors enthusiast, but I enjoy my fair share of watching TV and doggy cuddles too! I have grown up around dogs all my life and deeply appreciate their intuitive spirits and companionship and am always grateful to spend time getting to know them and spoil them!
