About the caregiver

First off, my friends & family call me Dele (sounds like "deal"), and I hope you will, too (I also answer to Maria, though)! I have had dog and cat animal companions most of my life and have been an "auntie" to hundreds of others' pets. I have had dogs from chihuahuas to pitbulls to boxers, as well as a variety of rescued cats throughout the years. I currently have one cat, two bearded dragons, and an aquarium with five fish & three aquatic frogs! I love all animals and feel privileged to be trusted with the care of others' animal companions. I do not have a dog at the moment; my most recent dog, a sweet daschund named Abby, died last year at the age of 17. I have decided not to adopt another dog until I retire from my full-time job as a firefighter in a few years. Then, I plan to rescue an older dog to be my road-trip co-pilot for fun adventures!
