About the caregiver
I’m Meg! I’m a retired Air Force veteran and pilot, who has trained her own service dogs for decades now. I grew up on a small farm, in the rural northern Midwest where we always had dogs and cats. In college, in north central Arizona, I helped train Queensland Heelers as cattle dogs for the local ranchers. Here, I learned a lot about intelligent, high-energy breeds and how to work with and train them. I’ve owned several German Shepherds, and a couple of Chows in addition to Queenslands and Aussies. Currently, I have special needs German Shepherd named “Magnus” who we affectionately refer to as “Lt. Dan”, as he has magic legs. He is training to take over as my service dog, when my beagle Walter retires. I also am fostering Mason & Dixie a chihuahua and rat terrier, who lost their home when their human died suddenly. We have 4 cats and our house is full of four-legged babies! I love animals, and believe they offer us so much unconditional love, all we have to do is learn to understand them. All these creatures have fully integrated with each other, and sometimes you might even see us at Hula Bay with all four doggos having lunch! I’d like to develop a relationship with you and your pet, to have a consistent person you can go to when you have need for pet care!
