About the caregiver

I have had the honor of being a dog parent to two shelter dogs, Lily and Lucy. Both were so different in temperament, one hyper and jumpy, the other a survivor of trauma, overweight and shy. Lily taught me responsibility and helped heal my high school heartbreak through caring for another vulnerable living being, since puppyhood. Lucy showered me with unconditional kindness and gentleness; she taught me to lay in the grass and allow the earth to receive me. And to slow down.
