About the caregiver

I was first introduced to dogs as a young child when visiting my grandparents. My grandfather bred Newfoundlands and I was often around when a new litter had arrived. Otherwise the adults were always taken for multiple long walks every day. Our own first family dog was a Cocker Spaniel who was with us for 14 years. As an adult I have enjoyed dogs and up to three cats in the house, sometimes simultaneously. These pets were always rescues, which is what my current shepherd/collie mix is as well.
