About the caregiver

Growing up, several of my cousins had dogs. Helping to take care of those dogs were some of my first lessons in responsibility. I also learned that I love animals. While in college, one of my roommates had a very grumpy and loving cat and an incredibly playful pitbull, I helped take care of them for about two years. In grad school, I lived with a roommate who had a tiny monster many would mistaken for a cat. I helped take care of him for about a year, and after I changed living situations, I remained his cat sitter. While I was in that new living situation I fostered animals for the local shelter including puppies and "spicy" kittens. I did that for a year and a half and it's been about a year since then so I am definitely missing the company of furry friends :)
