About the caregiver

Hello! My name is Val and I’m a 2020 UC Riverside graduate, currently working remotely in my hometown of La Verne. Coming from a family of animal lovers, I have had the privilege to experience life always having a best friend by my side. I now reside with my two rescue babies; 1 yr old husky mix (Gia) and 3 yr old russian blue (Shia)….. If you’re wondering, yes they do get along, in fact, the dog thinks she’s part cat and copies her 🐾 Every animal is unique, with their own distinct personalities, quirks, and needs. Depending on factors like this, as well as their breed, age, medical history etc., any engagement I have with your pet will be customized to suit them best. Things I do to maximize your pet’s safety: 1. I always carry a readily accessible bag with an extra leash, personal defense items, water, and treats (if needed for recall, commands, or for snackin’!) 2. *With your knowledge and consent only*; when exiting the home, I like to attach one of my personal ‘AirTag’ trackers on the collar/ harness. This tracker is pinged to my phone and shows live footage of the tag’s current location. 3. I use a specialized leash knot around my wrist that tightens when tension occurs. This is particularly useful for dogs that pull or try to yank/ run spontaneously. 4. I always have my phone with me. This is your baby; if you call, I’ll answer! Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
