This neighborhood is home to Bay Pines’ one dog-friendly park, the pawsitively amazing War Veterans Memorial Park. Dogs are welcome on-leash in this 126-acre park. Take your pup for a walk on the park’s nature trail, which is lined with palm trees and pine trees. You’ll also pass by a little pond on this trail. After your walk, have a picnic with your dog in the park’s picnic pavilion. This scenic pavilion overlooks beautiful Boca Ciega Bay. Bring some snacks and water for you and your pup, and enjoy spending the day in this quiet park.

Del Prado

Want to let your dog run and play off-leash? Head over to Walsingham Park’s Paw Playground. This dog park is only six miles from Bay Pines, and it includes separate areas for large and small dogs. Both areas are large, providing plenty of space for your dog to play. There are also doggy bags and water bowls available here. When your pup is finished playing with their new friends, put their leash back on and take them for a stroll on Walsingham Park’s multi-use trail. This six-mile paved trail circles the entire park, and it passes by beautiful lakes and wooded areas.

Bath Club Circle

This North Redington Beach neighborhood is only four miles from Bay Pines, and it has a park where you can walk your dog on-leash called Friendship Park. This lovely park has a paved path that provides beautiful views of the bay. After your stroll, treat your dog to lunch at Sweet Sage’s. This café welcomes dogs in their shady garden, and they have a full menu available for your pup. This menu features items like a “Mutt” loaf made with ground steak and the “Snoopie” soufflé, which includes scrambled eggs and cheese. For humans, Sweet Sage’s offers delicious scramblers, wraps, crepes, and more. You and your pup will both have a great time dining here.

Historic Kenwood

Historic Kenwood is home to the pawesome Kenwood Dog Park. This three-acre dog park is eight miles from Bay Pines, and it offers separate large and small dog areas. There are plenty of trees to keep the park shady and cool on those hot Florida days, and there are benches for owners to sit on. There are also water fountains, and there’s a dog wash you can use if your pup gets a bit messy while playing. If you want to go out to eat with your dog after the dog park, check out Pom Pom Teahouse & Sandwicheria. This café offers unique sandwiches with flavors from around the world, and they welcome dogs at their outdoor tables.

Rosetree Place

For another woof-derful dog park, head over to Boca Ciega Millennium Dog Park, which is about four miles from Bay Pines. Here, your pup can run around in separate big and small dog areas. There are plenty of trees to keep the park shady and cool, and water is available for your dog. If you want to get your dog a special treat after the dog park, head over to Bark Life. This local pet store sells freshly baked, organic dog treats, and they also have an organic coffee bar. You and your pup can enjoy your treats on Bark Life’s outdoor patio.
