Just 25 minutes from Summerfield, Ocala holds the secrets to a dog’s happiness. Letty Towles Dog Park is simply pawesome. It is very well taken care of by the community. Both areas of the dog park are spacious with lots of room for Fido to run and play with his fur buddies. The shaded areas are a nice place to relax while Fido works up a good pant playing and romping. There are watering and cleaning stations, which are always appreciated amenities in dog parks like this. There are even doggy pools for Fido to splash around in to escape the Florida heat!

East Silver Springs Blvd

Whether you are just passing through or looking for a new place to eat with your dog, Ocala has the answer. The Mojo Grill & Catering Company has Mexican food to go along with their classic grill menu. You can sit with your dogs at the picnic area right off of the patio. The whole section is fur-friendly with plenty of room to stretch your legs. Fido will be greeted with a bowl of water and smile. Some of the food is quite spicy, so be sure to order something that won’t be too hot for Fido to enjoy.

Wildwood

Only about 15 miles south of Summerfield you will find Wildwood, and the most pawfect little “barkery” ever. The Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming has a whole selection of dog-safe foods that have proven to be doggone beg-worthy. They also carry assorted treats that are organic and natural for picky tummies. While you are here, get Fido’s fur cut or his toes painted. It is all about Fido in this barkery, so bring him to this barkery for some mutts-needed pampering. You will need to keep your dog on the leash for this experience, but he’s sure to give this experience four paws up!

Tavares

If you don’t mind taking a 45-minute drive, then Tavares may be your dinner solution. The Hurricane Dockside Grill is the perfect place for the whole family, including the mini humans. You are welcome to join your dog on the deck for any meal. This is not your average deck, though. They have a full-size bar and live music for you to enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere. Right off the deck is a large area to roam with a sand volleyball court to play on. It is a great place to spend time with family and fur friends!

It is just a 30-minute drive from Summerfield. The owner has taken her time to research different doggie cuisines so that she can create pawesome foods that are both healthy and delicious. They have everything you could possibly need for grooming and care, as well as a wide range of toys and treats. Just remember to keep your dog on the leash because they will be excited to find a place that has everything they need!
