North Glencoe has a mixture of woods and rivers that make the scenery there truly exceptional. You can visit Turnbull Woods with your dog, as long as he has his leash on. You will also find Mary Mix Mcdonald Woods is not only a fun name to say, but a fun park to visit on a weekend. The Skokie River runs throughout the neighborhood and provides sparkling waters that are pawfect for a selfie stop with your dog. You will need a towel for those doggie shakes after a run through the river and plenty of waste bags to help keep the green areas clean for the next pup.

West Glencoe

West Glencoe

West Glencoe has a unique topography that attracts tourists away from the North Shore throughout the year just to see the lagoons that formed there naturally some time ago. The Skokie Lagoons are a wonderful, quiet place to visit if you love nature and want to be close to the water. You will find that your dog will agree there is no better way to spend a Saturday if you find yourselves in West Glencoe! Forest Way Picnic Grove is a well-known local picnic area, covered in woods and grassy river beds. Your dog will be ecstatic to see the picnic basket after one visit to this cozy little park.

Central Glencoe

Central Glencoe

Central Glencoe is a growing area with plenty of real estate if you are looking for a place to move in with your dog. You will find there are many green spaces open to the public, including leashed dogs, where you can spread out a blanket or throw around some tennis balls on a nice day. If you get thirsty or need a pick-me-up, the local Starbucks has plenty of outdoor seating for you and your dog while you recharge before heading home for the day. Just make sure you have plenty of clean-up bags with you when exploring Central Glencoe.

East Glencoe is a gorgeous neighborhood that rests right on the North Shore. You will find plenty of open shoreline here to walk with your dog. From the many marinas to Glencoe Beach, the great views of the water make East Glencoe the pawfect spot for dog lovers and water lovers to enjoy their afternoons and weekends in a serene location. You will find plenty of room to spread out a towel or a blanket while your dog sniffs around. Just be ready to clean up after Sparky, and keep a dry towel on hand if your dog loves the water.

South Glencoe is a charming residential neighborhood with plenty of room to grow with your dog. Your dog can travel with you on-leash to the many small parks in the area. They are all well-tended and loved by dog walkers throughout the town. You will find Linden Park is a wonderful spot for a game of fetch. Nick Corwin Park is a pupperific park for a long walk or a short stroll depending on how much time you have. Shelton Park is a quiet place pawfect for reading a book on the grass or just taking in the fresh air after a long day at work while your dog stretches out in the field.
